Brexit Update for AP Air Customers
To all of our customers,
We would like to update you with the changes that have been made since Britain has left the European Union.
We are now holding larger quantities of stock and have ordered goods much earlier to try and counter any possible delays at the ports for shipped goods. We are doing this to ensure we have plenty of stock available to you before the peak season begins.
We have changed our invoices to include the country of origin, the commodity codes, our EORI number and the weight of the goods. The invoices also show your company EORI number, if we have it.
Our Couriers and Shippers
Unfortunately, the cost of shipping a box internationally has increased from DHL and the customer will be required to pay any VAT and duty owing on the goods. The cost of shipping pallets has increased as it also includes a customs clearance charge. We will be constantly reviewing our couriers to find the best deal for our customers.
What we require from our customers before shipping
For all pallet shipments to our customers, we will need a contact name, number and email for the freight forwarder to send the duty/vat invoices. We must also have the customers EORI number as freight forwarders will not ship without this.
Our European warehouse
We have recently opened our European warehouse in France to try and maintain quick deliveries to our customers.
