Highs, Lows and Whoas: 2019 A Year in Review
Overshadowed by turbulent politics, beef price protests, falling refrigerant prices, the seizure of illegal and potentially hazardous R134a supplies in Europe, plus record breaking rainfall for much of the UK; the choice of “Existential” for “Word of the year” was not as odd as you might think. 2019 has undoubtedly been a challenging year but it brought out the best in the agricultural and construction industries which resiliently ploughed on regardless. Smart agriculture technology advancements were ongoing whilst November saw the world’s fastest tractor record smashed by Guy Martin, recording a jaw-dropping 135.191mph top speed in a JCB Fastrac so it wasn’t all bad.
Closer to home, 2019 has seen AP Air gain weight and I don’t mean the staff are getting porky! We believe we are the best air conditioning parts supplier for ag and construction, and based on this year’s phenomenal sales it seems a lot of you agree.
October saw us expand and take on a much needed extra unit of warehousing. The additional space was required as much for the extra stock being held as it was for housing the two new machines designed to protectively foam pack products and bag-up parts. Just as well the unit came with more parking spaces as we also invested in freshly branded company vans, so you can easily spot us when we’re out visiting customers or doing A/C service machine demos in your area.
More work means more staff and 2019 saw the company cherry-pick new recruits for the warehouse as well as the marketing and sales departments. We’re a family business and proud of it, so developing an enthusiastic team committed to supplying the best customer service is crucial. After all, behind every successful company there’s a great team and ours is pretty awesome!
Hardly surprising given our history of development, our product range also grew over the last 12 months with 100 plus new parts released during 2019 and more in the process. Excited to share our latest products with you, we added extra dates to our show calendar and made exhibiting debuts at the world’s leading trade fair for agri machinery, Agritechnica in Germany, Plantworx and RWM.
